B O K E H is the artist alias of Chloë Lewer, a singer, music producer, and actress who has been based in Berlin since 2011 and hails from Aotearoa (New Zealand). With an academic background in film and acting, B O K E H has the talent and experience to effortlessly imagine characters and stories and lose herself in fantastic worlds. This ability is reflected in her music and live performances, which have a dramatic, cinematic quality and sometimes resemble the surreal imagery of David Lynch and Co. Chloë is also a music video producer and director, creating all visual content for B O K E H herself. Her artist name is derived from the Japanese term ‘Bokeh,’ used in photography and film to describe a type of blur or haze.

Her new EP titled “The Afterglow” will be released in September. The lead single, “The Afterglow,” was self-written, recorded, and produced.

Her last album titled “room 42” was entirely self-written, played, produced, and recorded by B O K E H.

Besides her solo work as B O K E H, Chloë is also a sought-after songwriter and producer for other artists, signed with Budde Music. She regularly participates in songwriting sessions and music camps, collaborating with a variety of talents. With an impressive 35 million streams on Spotify alone, her releases have captivated audiences worldwide. Notable recent collaborations include BLVSH, Bonaparte, Lex Leosis, Lie Ning, Fishbach, Rivo, Woody, L’auparie, Paula Biskup, and Celine Cairo.

Chloë is also an experienced composer, producer, and performer for advertising, TV, and film productions. Her music has been used in various projects across Australasia, Europe, Asia, and the USA, showcasing her versatility and ability to create captivating soundscapes.
