Kim Vu
Kim D. Vu, a Berlin-based musician, started in classical music and guitar but quickly gravitated toward hardcore, punk, and metal. Collaborating with a diverse range of artists and producers, Kim creates cross-genre projects and works as a studio and live session musician. Additionally, Kim builds installations working with sensor-triggered interactions, allowing audiences to directly feel noise and low-frequency bass through sound, vibration, and movement. Kim plays in the experimental-metal band Hugging and explores Noise and Feedback Manipulation in their individual sound practice. Kim also composes for film, video art, and other audiovisual projects, using distortion, feedback chains, drone, and fragmented melodies to build sonic structures that interact with the moving image.
